The UK Government has announced a £50 million fund to help communities across the country better prepare for emergencies and extreme weather events.
Fund Details
The Community Resilience Fund will provide grants of between £5,000 and £250,000 to community groups, parish councils, and local organisations working to improve emergency preparedness.
Eligible Projects
- Community emergency plans and training
- Flood defence equipment and supplies
- Communication systems for emergencies
- Community resilience centres
- Vulnerable person support networks
How to Apply
Applications open in March 2024 through the gov.uk website. Priority will be given to communities in areas identified as high-risk for flooding, coastal erosion, or other climate-related hazards.
